The ocean could be seen from the restaurant which was delightful! Located at the north end of the Boardwalk, many of their friends gather here frequently during happy hour.
We returned to the Delaware Seashore State Park campground to pick up our doggie, Sadie, and headed to the North Day Use Area for dinner at dog-friendly Hammerheads Dockside (www.hammerheadsde.com/dockside). It is located next to the Indian River Marina.
The one thing we miss from our pre-RV life, is our 36' Sport Fisherman yacht we had on the Chesapeake! There were lots of beauties docked here.
There is also a restaurant on the beach on the South Day Use area of the park, The Big Chill Beach Club. Dining is available inside or on the large deck that overlooks the beach. There is also an area where you can enjoy drinks while playing cornhole in the sand.
The next night, my brother Mark, drove down (from Chadds Ford, PA) for a quick overnight visit. As you can see, he was still working after he got here! We had dinner, watched a movie and spent time catching up with each other. It was fantastic to see him as we miss spending time with him as well! And the full moon was absolutely stunning.
It's always a treat to see friends and family during our travels.
