Location: We selected this park because of its proximity to several National Monuments we wanted to visit (El Morro, El Malpais, and Canyon de Chelly). Located on Historic Route 66, it proved to be a very nice home base while we visited the historic geologic and cultural sites in the area.
Lot: Almost all lots are pull-through (which is awesome), but there is not much shade. Some are 30 amp and have only water and electric, so be sure to request what you want/need. We were in Lot 94 with 50-amp hook ups and had plenty of room for our RV, tow dolly, and our Mini Countryman.
Four cabins are also available for rent here.
Amenities: It was great to have cable TV here (at no additional charge). Also, the wifi was good for normal internet access. We did our laundry for the week in the laundry room that was near the bathrooms. A heated pool is located nearby (although we did not take advantage of it).
Check in is at the desk in the large gift/souvenir store. Some groceries, ice, and RV supplies are also sold there.
A limited BBQ menu is offered at the cookout area. Tickets for your dinner choice are purchased at the gift shop. We enjoyed dinner there the day we arrived. A carved memorial to US servicemen is on display at the stage there.
A playground and putting greens are located nearby.
Our girl, Sadie, enjoyed the off-leash dog park even though there was no grass (after all, it is New Mexico). But there was also an opening in the wall to access a path for dog-walking that she loved.
Cost: $244.49/weekly rate which equates to $34.93/night
Management: This is a very well-managed RV park. The folks in the office/store were all friendly and helpful.
General Comments: Overall, we really liked this park and would definitely stay here again in the future.
