Broadway in Tucson (www.broadwayintucson.com) brought Jesus Christ Superstar to Centennial Hall (located on the west side of the University of Arizona campus). Amanda and Kaitlyn bought us tickets as a Christmas present this year. Awesome!

We have the movie and I had seen the show on stage in the past. But, the iconic musical score (Andrew Lloyd Weber) and lyrics (Tim Rice) makes the show a real treat. Plus it was a great start to the Christmas season.

We arrived early and were able to enjoy a cocktail outdoors in front of the theatre. It was a great setup with the beautiful weather in Tucson in December. Once inside, there was 50th Anniversary Tour souvenirs on sale.

Centennial Hall is a 2,500-seat theatre that first opened in 1937. Renovations have occurred periodically with the most recent in 2007 to enhance the acoustics and sound system.

As expected, the show was fantastic…always better in person!
