Wild Rose RV Park, July 13 to July 20, 2016

Rating: 4.0 on a scale of 5

Location: We planned a week's stay in Spokane after spending the previous three weeks in Olympic and Mount Rainier National Parks in the western part of the state. The bonus for us is that we had several friends we wanted to see while in the area. This park is north of Spokane on Highway 395 and it was easy for us to navigate to see our friends in Kettle Falls (north) and a friend in Spokane Valley (southeast). We were only about 8 miles to shopping in north Spokane but the park is located in a rural area.

Lot Size: We had a pull-through site (#20) where we had enough room for our motor coach, tow dolly and car. When friends stopped by for a visit, we had enough room to park their car on our lot as well. While we had enough room, the sites a relatively narrow and the entire park was full.

Amenities:  The park offers wifi (decent speed, but we had good AT&T connectivity that was faster). No cable TV here, but we were able to pick up channels by air. There is a small laundromat with 4 washers and 4 dryers for the bargain price of $1/per. We did our laundry here and it was very convenient. The bathrooms are on the opposite side of the building (very clean).

At the northern end of the park past the office is a nice, grassy play area for kids.

Beyond that is a large field for pets. Sadie had such fun catching the frisbee and being off leash there. One side of the field is used for RV and/or vehicle storage.

A large, fenced-in, vegetable garden is also in this part of the park. Guests are welcomed to pick ripe vegetables during their stay. We enjoyed just walking around and seeing everything that was planted. The Assistant Manager told me that they started everything from seed!

Next to the entrance of the park (on Highway 395) is a gas station and small convenience store. There is enough room for RVs to fuel up there.

Cost:  $150/week

Management:  The folks are nice here and very accommodating. And the entire park is very well maintained. Each site has a lovely green grassy area and there are many beautiful flowering plants (in addition to the huge vegetable garden) throughout.

General Comments:  This a beautiful, small park that was a very nice place to stay for the week we were in Spokane. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Spokane again in the future.
