Location: This park was in a great location for us. It is half-way down the Fort Morgan Peninsula, so about 10 miles to Fort Morgan Historic Site and 10 miles to the town of Gulf Shores. We enjoyed being able to visit the beach scene in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, but also went to Fort Morgan beach (less crowded) where dogs are permitted. We did a lot of sightseeing (state parks in FL and AL, Gulf Islands National Seashore, ferry to Dauphin Island, etc.) and this RV park was a good home base for us.
Lot size: We stayed in a back-in site (lot 11) that was in a great location in the park (not bay front, but the next row). It had plenty of shade which is great when you visit this part of Alabama. We could see the water from the motor coach, and it was a very nice size (the bay front lots were a little bit smaller).
There is a total of 34 sites (full hook-ups) on 6 acres at the rv park.
Amenities: Wifi and cable TV are provided. A very nice bonus is free laundry (3 washers, 3 dryers). The laundry room is located in the same building as the bathhouse.
There is also a fenced dog park.
The best part about this park is the fishing dock that affords fantastic views of the sunset over the bay. Gorgeous!
We saw many shorebirds from the dock and saw dolphins at dusk on several occasions, too.
Of course, most of the folks that stay here are avid fishermen, too, so the dock is well used. There is a fish cleaning station at the end of the dock.
Cost: $700 for the month (electricity included)
Management: The couple (Sue and Rob) that run this place are super nice and friendly. Check in was fast and efficient. Sue led us to our site which is always nice.
