Enjoying the Gulf Coast, Texas Style, 12/19/2017

(Note to my readers:  I have fallen behind on my blog due to the holidays and having the flu for a couple of weeks. I am finally back and will be catching up over the next week.)

Because we are so close to the beach here at Jamaica Beach RV Park, we frequently go for a walk with our sweet doggie, Sadie, even when the weather is not that great. On this day it was very foggy, but we all wanted some outdoor time.

I call this beach, Texas style, because vehicles are permitted to drive and park on the beach in designated areas. This is not very common on the east coast, or even other parts of the Gulf Coast, except here in Texas. I will say it is quite convenient, though!

Today, for some reason, there was lots of seaweed washed up on the beach. It was not there a couple of days before or after.

Sadie had a blast catching the frisbee in and out of the water.

We went for a long walk and always have fun checking out the interesting marine life that has washed ashore. And Sadie carefully sniffs every one!

Here are some remnants of crabs and shells

And, some fish:

The only other people we saw on the beach on this day were surf fishermen

From our RV we can hear the crashing waves on the shore which is great, but walking along the beach is one of our favorite activities here in Galveston
