Fallbrook RV Resort, May 11 to June 10, 2019

Rating:  5.0 on a scale of 5

Location: Because our daughter, Amanda, lives in Houston, we have selected it because it is only about 10 miles from her downtown apartment. It is located on the north side of Houston not far from I-45. Also, this park feels like it is not in the city although it is close to major highways, grocery stores, restaurants, retail stores, etc.. We liked it when we first stayed here in 2018, so decided to return.

Lot size: Again this year we had a pull through site (#68). There are back-in sites around the lake and the perimeter of the park. There is plenty of room for two cars in addition to the RV/tow dolly. Also, the roads in the park are much wider than other parks…very easy to pull in with an RV.

Amenities: This place has fabulous amenities! In the same building as the office, there is a super nice laundry (probably the best we have ever seen during our travels); recreation area (with pool table, longboard); exercise equipment; business center with 3 PCs, fax, printers; restrooms with showers; free coffee and popcorn station; soda and snack vending machines; ATM; outdoor kitchen with sink, refrigerator, gas grills, bar/stools, TV, and rocking chairs (overlooking the lake).

Other amenities include: large dog walk and dog bathing station (this really came in handy); a free air station (also very handy to get air in the tires of the RV and car); propane; cable TV, and usable wifi.

Where we spent the most time though (due to the high temperatures), was the beautiful pool here. It was even too hot for the hot tub! Adult swim time is 8-10 pm, which is delightful! A karaoke party was going on when I took the photo below. It was normally not very crowded.

Cost: $730/month plus $190 electric (it was so hot with no shade that we had both air conditioners running most of the time…)

Management: The park hosts here were great. As part of Quality Resorts, Fallbrook is very well managed, maintained beautifully, and feels very secure. Packages are delivered to the office and then they notified us by email. Overall, this is a great place to say.

General Comments:  Fallbrook was more expensive this time than last year. And without any shade whatsoever for the lots, the heat is intense causing high electric bills. If we stay here again, it will be in the winter!
