Location: We visited this area of the country to visit our son (Zach) and daughter-in-law (Rachel). Therefore, it was important to us to stay somewhere close to their home. This place met that requirement perfectly as it is only about 5 miles from their house. This is one of the many RV parks located near the Charlotte Motor Speedway where NASCAR races and other major events are held. We, of course, planned our visit when there was not a race in town!
Lot size: Our lot was on Everett Street and was conveniently located near a large field that was perfect for our dog, Sadie. We had lots of fun throwing her the frisbee here.
We were about the fourth lot from the road and had a large shade tree near the front of it. We had plenty of room for our tow dolly and car, as well as visitor vehicles. There was a trash toter on each site as well that was convenient for trash disposal.
Amenities: We had 50-amp electric, water and sewage hook ups here. Wifi was also available. We were able to get several air stations on our TV. There are laundry facilities but we did ours at a local laundromat (we do our laundry about every 7-10 days).
Cost: $225 (which was significantly lower than the advertised cost). I am sure the cost is much higher during NASCAR events.
Management: When we arrived, the owner/manager gave us a tour of the campground and the various sites that were available to us. We selected one that worked out perfectly for us during our stay. He was very helpful and accommodating.
General Comments: This park is a combination of permanent mobile homes, RVs with full time residents, and rental RV lots with both full hook ups and without. It is located within walking distance of the Charlotte Motor Speedway. RV Parks with more amenities can be found near Lake Norman, but they are 35-40 miles away and relatively expensive. We will likely stay here again due to the ideal location for us.
