Riverview RV Park & Storage, June 22 to June 29, 2016

Rating: 4 on a scale of 5

Location: We planned two weeks to visit the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state in our itinerary. The first week was here at Riverview RV Park located in Forks, WA. It is also very close to La Push, WA, and the Mora region of Olympic National Park. This location worked out perfectly for us as we were able to explore the Hoh Rain Forest, the coastal areas of Kalamoch and Mora with their wild and rugged beaches, and drove to Cape Flattery, the westernmost point of the contiguous US, 60 miles away. There is a nice grocery/outfitters/hardware store in Forks that has about anything you might want.

Lot size: We stayed in lot #4, and honestly, it was the nicest RV lot we have ever had. It was huge with plenty of room for our RV, tow dolly and car. It is one of the over-sized lots here. There is a high quality picnic table (at some parks they are pretty trashy) and a fire ring in a landscaped pit. Woods were on two sides and even when we had a neighbor in lot #3, we hardly knew they were there. Pull through sites and back in sites are available in a nearby section of the park.

Amenities: Everything in this park appears to be relatively new. We did not use the bathrooms but they were immaculate. There is also a very nice laundry room with two washers and dryers in the same building as the bathrooms.

Nearby is a large fire ring and seating for groups to enjoy.

The office has a store with supplies including lots of fishing supplies, including fishing rods.

A well-equipped fish cleaning station is located at the park.

Firewood bundles are sold for $4. The park has wifi, but we were not able to access it from our site. There is no cable TV. We have not yet invested in a satellite dish (not sure that we ever will), but we have a good DVD library that we utilize when we cannot access TV stations.

Cost: $309/week

Management: The folks that run this place are super nice. They were expecting us when we arrived and directed us to our site right away. We had a problem with the steps on our RV and they were very helpful in recommending a mobile RV repair service. Because we did not have cellular service, we used their phone to contact the repair guy and they communicated messages to us from him. When you visit Washington state, Verizon service is great; AT&T is not!

General Comments: The owners have lots of projects going on (landscaping, etc.) and are continually working to improve the park. Many fisherman stay here and storage is available for boats (and RVs). They are very accommodating to their guests. We would stay here again.
