Fort Stockton RV Park, March 21 to 28, 2018

Rating:  4.0 on a scale of 5

Location:  We visited Fort Stockton because it was on the way to Carlsbad Caverns from San Antonio (we like to drive a maximum of 250-300 miles in the motor coach). This RV park is very convenient to reach from I-10 and is a few miles east of the town of Fort Stockton. It proved to be a good home base for us as we visited multiple frontier military forts from here as well as the historic district of the town. Lots of RVers  pulled in and departed each day from this park.

Lot size: We had a nice drive through site with plenty of room for our tow dolly and car.  It was easy to access. Some folks live here long term and work in the petroleum or natural gas industry.

Amenities: There is wifi (pretty slow), cable TV (nice), and a swimming pool here.

There is also a dog park that our sweet doggie, Sadie, enjoyed.

The laundry room is located behind the office and has about 8 washers and dryers. We did our laundry once while we were here.

One of the nicest amenities here is The Roadrunner Cafe that serves breakfast and dinner at reasonable prices. Diners are permitted to bring beer, wine, etc., which was convenient. It is located next to the office. We ate dinner there twice.

Cost: $236.35/week or $33.76/day (With one week stay, 7th night is free.)

Management: Folks were very nice in the office. Check in was quick and efficient.

General Comments:  Overall, this RV park met our expectations. It had trees, which many of the RV parks in the area do not have due to the arid part of Texas.

We would stay here again.
