Mesa Verde RV Park, May 4 to May 11, 2018

Rating:  4.5 on a scale of 5

Location: This was the perfect location to visit Mesa Verde National Park (.5 mile from entrance), Hovenweep National Monument, Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, the town of Durango, and drive the San Juan Skyway. There is so much to see in this part of Colorado and this RV park proved to be a great home base.

Lot size: We had a pull-through, full hook-up, gravel site with picnic table (site 34). There was plenty of room for our tow dolly and car.

Tent camping, a cabin, and a park model are also available.

Amenities: Free wifi was usable most of the time and there were 40+ cable channels. There is a large open field for dogs (and kids) to run near a small lake and trail.

There are two small hot tubs (we used one a couple of times and it was fabulous!) and a heated pool. They all opened the week we were there.

A communal area with fire pits is available for guests as well.

Bathrooms and the laundry room are located in the office building.

Cost: $186.83/week or $27/night (for week stay plus veteran discount)

Management: This is a very well run park. All of the staff were really friendly and do a fantastic job of maintaining the park.

General Comments: Overall, we really liked this RV park and would stay here again. The price with the 20% veteran discount was fantastic. Plus it is very close to the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. The park is so large, that I was happy to be so close to the entrance. Honestly, I wished I had planned for a 2-week stay here.
