Roadrunner RV Park, June 24 to July 1, 2019

Rating:  3.5 out of 5.0

Location: This RV park is located in urban Oklahoma City with easy access to I-35. We wanted to visit several museums in OK City, and this park was 5-10 miles from all of them. It is behind several hotels. Therefore, it was very convenient as a home base for a week.

Lot size: Most sites are pull through, with some back-in sites around the perimeter of the property. There are two sections: North and South Park. We were on an end site (#39) in South Park. It was a nice pull-through, full-hook up site on a cement pad and grass. The roads provide easy access for large rigs.

We were happy to have some shade, as most sites do not. Many folks here work in the area and live here on a monthly basis.

There are four storm shelters in the park.

Amenities: Basic cable TV is provided. Wifi is available, but slow. Meeting facilities are available. There are restrooms and a laundry room in the main building, and both in a second building in the South Park.

Cost:  $270/weekly rate

Management: Check in was efficient and the folks in office very helpful. The office is beautiful and there are lots of brochures and a seating area there, too. The grounds are very well maintained.

Also, across the street from the office was an operational oil rig. Of course, they can be anywhere in this part of the country!

General Comments:  Not sure if we will visit OK City again in the near future, but I would likely stay at an RV park outside of town. The museums here are fabulous, and this park is close to them. There was nothing wrong with this place, it had everything we needed but I thought it was a bit pricey. And it was very, very hot in OKC when we were there, so maybe the heat just made me a little grouchy.
