Last Day at Laguna Shore Village, 2/20/2018

After finishing the preparations for our departure tomorrow, we walked across the street from the RV park for some frisbee fun for Sadie on the mud flats along Laguna Madre

Shorebirds are always in the area as well. Below are some brown pelicans and a great blue heron

About a half a mile west of the RV part, is the Laguna Reef Restaurant and marina. We frequently go out to dinner our last night in town, so we decided to go to this place. In fact, we had eaten here four years ago when we last visited Corpus Christi.

But, first we walked around the marina a bit and snapped some photos.

The brown pelicans are always so photogenic!

There is both indoor and outdoor seating at the Laguna Reef Restaurant. Due to the weather, we chose to eat inside. We had a good seafood dinner (I had the grilled grouper, vegetables, and onion rings, yum). John had the fried flounder (but he did not think it was as good as what we get at Captain’s Steve in NC!) It was a nice way to end our stay.

You can bring in fresh-caught fish, and they will prepare it here for you. For additional information about the restaurant (or marina), go to this site: www.bluffslanding.com/restaurant.php.
