Battlefield RV Park and Campground, August 11-18, 2018

Rating:  3.5 on a scale of 5

Location: As suggested by the name of this RV park, the location is very convenient to the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. This was one of the attractions we wanted to visit during our one-week stay here. Even though it is in Ringgold, GA, it is very close to Chattanooga, TN.  Grocery stores, restaurants, etc., were located nearby.

Lot size: We had a pull-through, full hook-up, site on gravel. It was large for our tow dollars and car, but not very level. There was not privacy between lots.

Long term residents are in the rear area of the park. Several cabins are available for rent; and, tent sites, as well.

Amenities: The park has many amenities including cable TV and wifi (useable). A pool, picnic area, and playground are located near the office.

There’s a nice laundry room with 6 washers/6 dryers; two large dog runs; and a nature trail.

Cost: $200/weekly rate; $28.60/night

Management: The folks that work here are nice. Our check in was quick even though we arrived about 30 minutes before their published arrival time.

General Comments:  The price for this place is great. Some of the long term residents make this place less attractive than it could be. I also saw several Confederate flags flying at sites, which I do not like. Of course, we were in Georgia, so I guess it should not be a surprise. I still hate it and do not like the vibe.
