River View RV Park and Resort, July 28 to August 5, 2018

Rating:  4.5 on a scale of 5

Location: When we revamped our 2018 itinerary and decided to head to NC, we decided to visit Natchez and Tupelo (Mississippi) and then Chattanooga, TN. River View is a large property on the west side of the Mississippi River in Vidalia, LA. It was about 5 minutes across the bridge to Natchez. All of the sightseeing we did, was on the Mississippi side. It worked out very well for us.

Lot size: Almost all sites here are full hook-up, pull through, cement pads. We were at site #26 at the end of a row. With lots of room for our tow dolly and car, we like the privacy of the site. Sadie loved all of the open space, too. We could see tug boats on the Mississippi from our RV.

Amenities: River View has a large recreation area and small gift shop in the same building as the office.

Wifi (useable) is available at all sites. We were able to get plenty of broadcast TV stations.

Behind it is the lovely pool and hot tub as well as a covered area with tables and chair.

A very nice laundry room (open 24 hours) can also be found in the building.

A nice shaded playground, horseshoe pits, and a gazebo for relaxing by the river are also available.

Cost: $265 weekly rate ($38/night)

Management: This park is immaculate and very well maintained. We saw staff working every day on the grounds or pool. The folks in the office are great and we were so pleasantly surprise at how nice this place was. We highly recommend it for travelers to the area.

General Comments:  One of the best features of this park is the public walkway along the Mississippi River It extends for miles to the north and we enjoyed an evening stroll with Sadie almost every night. Across the river is the town of Natchez.
