Wells Fargo RV Park - 1/19/15 to 1/27/2015

Rating:  2.5 on a  scale of 5

Location: This is the sole reason we selected this park for a week-long stay in Tombstone, AZ. So on this one dimension, this park is a 5. It is a block from the O.K. Corral and you can easily walk to almost every historic landmark in Tombstone (except Boothill Grave Yard). It was perfect for what we wanted to see and do in Tombstone. On Saturday night we could hear music from several saloons, and it was a short walk to the night scene with gunfights (staged) on Fremont Street, ghost tour going on at the Bird Cage Theatre and about town, and we had margaritas at Big Nose Kate's Saloon where lots of folks were dressed up in old Western clothes, dancing, and having a blast. Going home that night was a lovely short walk!

Lot Size: Neighbors were very close (several feet) to our motor coach. There was no room for chairs, etc., on the side.

However, it was a pull-through site and there was room for our tow dolly (in back) and car (in front).

Amenities: Very basic amenities (laundry and bathrooms/showers) but they were clean and we did do our laundry with no problems.

Cost: $250 for a week. When you stay a week, the 7th night free.

Management:  The folks that run this place are super nice. I really liked them. They were helpful and informative.

General Comments: This RV park was exactly what we expected it to be, basically a gravel parking lot with full hook ups in the town of Tombstone. The location is the reason folks stay here. There are also some sites occupied by full-time residents of Tombstone. There are other RV parks nearby, but this one is the closest to the town.

It worked out fine for us for a week, but I would not want to stay here longer than that.
