Nevada Treasure RV Resort - 9/16/14 to 11/17/14

Rating:  5 on a scale of 5

Location:  This RV resort is located about 65 miles west of Las Vegas. If you are interested in visiting the Las Vegas Strip, this is a bit too far (although during a 60-day stay, we went to Vegas about 8 times). We chose to stay here because it is also about 60 miles from Death Valley National Park that is located in California (and we love our nation's national parks) as well as Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge and several other interesting attractions.

Lot size:  The lots at this RV Resort are fabulous. We had a large lot at the end of a road that included a lovely tiki hut and a lot of space for our chairs and vehicle. We stashed our tow dolly in the large parking lot in front of the office. Our doggy, Sadie, enjoyed sitting outside here. We very much enjoyed our privacy here for two months.

Bunny rabbit...

Amenities: The amenities at this place are the best we have seen since we starting out full-time RV lifestyle. The pool area is like a 5-star hotel with a three pools (1 heated) and waterfalls in all three.

The hot tub in the pool area is very well maintained (and a real delight after a day of hiking in the desert).

There is also an on-site cafe, Mark's Grill, that will serve food and/or drinks to the pool area. The cafe features specials on Friday nights and $1 tacos (loved the fish tacos) on Tuesdays. While we were staying here they also offered specials during football games. A 6-lane bowling alley is located next to Mark's Grill and is free on Friday nights ($5 on other days).

We had fun playing a few games here. Other activities here include horseshoe pits, bocci ball court, shuffleboard, and a putting green.

There is beautiful landscaping and multiple fountains throughout the resort. Sadie liked this one!

Cattails!
Goldfish!

The final comment I will make about this place is that it had the best laundry room we have used since being on the road...large, clean, and reasonably price ($1 per wash and $1 per 40-minute dry). Nevada Treasure also sells gym and pool memberships to local residents. The exercise area has great equipment, a sauna, jacuzzi, and showers...very deluxe facilities.

Cost:  $525 per month plus electric (this is the rate for the deluxe site we reserved).

Management: The folks here were very accommodating. We had mail and packages delivered here and they would call us when a package arrived. One night we arrived after 10 pm (when the gates are locked) and we had forgotten our access card. We called the emergency number and they let us in about 5 minutes later with no hassle.

Comments: This RV resort is rated 10/10/10 on the Good Sam rating scheme, and it really is a beautiful resort. There is no question that we would return to this resort. The rates were very reasonable and everyone was very friendly here. The pool area is fantastic and we enjoyed our time here very much. Our doggy, Sadie, loved our nightly walk around the resort. Views of the nearby mountains and the night sky are amazing.

This is the nicest RV resort we have seen thus far.
