Wynn Buffet Brunch, Las Vegas - 11/13/14

Our plans for Thursday, 11/13/14, with Amanda and Justine were to:
- have brunch at the famously fabulous Buffet at the beautiful Wynn Resort and Casino
- visit Hoover Dam; and
- see the early show (5:30 pm) of Million Dollar Quartet at Harrah's for the early show (5:30 pm).

We met them at Harrah's (leaving Sadie in their room...another walk through the casino with her!), and walked north on the Strip to Wynn's.

Along the way we ran into our friend, Bruce Willis, as we were passing MadamTussauds.

And the beautiful Venetian.

Check out this window washer at the Wynn. The building is 60 stories tall! What a job.

Walking through the lobby of the Wynn (like many of the other upscale resorts/casinos on the Strip) was an experience in and of itself. They have multiple works of art by Jeff Koons. Here's Popeye, with Amanda posing in front!

A three-ton steel gigantic sculpture, Tulips (also by Jeff Koons), is on display in the theatre rotunda. Steve Wynn, purchased the sculpture for $33.7 million. Wow.

The Wynn Buffet has won various "Best Buffet in Las Vegas" awards. And I will say that we all thought it was fabulous. Here is the price list as of 11/13/14. Of course, cocktails are an additional expense (except champagne at the Saturday/Sunday Brunch) although coffee, tea, orange juice, etc., are included in the fixed price.

  8:00 am - 11:00 am; Monday - Friday Breakfast = $21.99
11:00 am -   3:00 pm; Monday - Friday Lunch = $25.99
  8:00 am -   3:00 pm; Saturday/Sunday Champagne Brunch = $43.99
  3:00 pm - 10:00 pm; 7 days a week = $39.99

We arrived around 11:15 am, so we were delighted to enjoy a plate of breakfast foods and then more plates of lunch time fare. The changeover from breakfast to lunch occurred while we were dining. The wide array of choices on this buffet will happily satisfy any palette! There were the traditional breakfast choices along with custom-cooked omelets. This included everything from fruit to bacon or sausage or seafood to potato dishes (all kinds) to all types of bread (including bagels with every imaginable topping); yogurt, oatmeal, cheeses, and a full array of every dessert known to man!

When we returned to the buffet for a second plate, the breakfast items had been swapped out for a wide diversity of lunch selections including sushi, sliced roast beef, turkey or chicken, salads, fruit, mac and cheese, pizza, and so much more. Honestly, I felt like everything imaginable was there. Take your time to see what all of the options are before filling your plates with the usual stuff. Here is a photo part of the dessert area.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and walked out of there stuffed. What a feast! This was one of my favorite dining experiences ever.

The garden exhibit walking to and from the Buffet was gorgeous. Here are some photos.

I liked this bronze sculpture, Shoe, by Stephen Weiss near the entrance of the Wynn.

Having heard for years that this was one of best buffets on the Strip, I totally agree! It is highly recommended. And we enjoyed seeing the fabulous Wynn Hotel and Casino.

Check out their website for more details on the Wynn Buffet.
