Indian Hills Park - May 5 to May 10, 2015

Rating: 3 on a scale of 5

Location:  This was a convenient stop for us as we made our way to New Orleans to meet Amanda and Justine for a few days. It is about 40 miles to New Orleans. We used this location just to relax and spend some time outside.

Lot size:  Our lot was a large, shaded, pull-through with full hook-ups. There was plenty of room for our tow dolly and car.  There was room to put out our large rug and chairs and a picnic table was at the site.

Amenities: This park has a beautiful swimming pool (heated to 92 degrees) with plenty of lounge chairs and tables and chairs in both full sun and in the shade. There are showers and bathrooms in multiple locations throughout the park although we always use our own bathroom in our motor coach. In an enclosed area next to the pool are two hot tubs that are great. A calendar is published with activities such as Karaoke night, pool side games, Friday-night cook out, and Mother's Day breakfast (while we were there). There are also a couple of hiking trails that we enjoyed exploring with Sadie and a small lake that is stocked with fish.

Cost: $250. These parks are normally pretty costly because of the daily activity fees.

Management: The folks that run this place were very nice, friendly, and accommodating. We were given our choice of sites and they repeatedly told us to let them know if we needed anything.

General Comments: No photos are permitted at this type of park. During the week the ratio of men to women was not to our liking (too many single men). However, over the weekend it was much more balanced with mostly couples. Regardless, it was a very nice and relaxing stay for us, although not everyone would like this place. Be sure to check out their website to get more details before booking a stay here.
