Brother + Biloxi = Fun!, 10/25-26/2017

My youngest brother, Mark, who lives in Pennsylvania, had a business trip to Hattiesburg, MS. Knowing that we were in Biloxi, he arranged his schedule so he could visit us. Not only do we enjoy spending time with him, but our sweet doggie, Sadie, absolutely loves him!

Arriving in the late afternoon, we went for a walk on beautiful Biloxi Beach before dinner. When John saw this bottle in the water, he was convinced there was a message inside. No such luck!

Lots of interesting jellies were on the beach. The regrowth of sea oats is always a good sign of the health of the sand dunes. Their elaborate root system stabilizes the dunes.

While John was grilling our steaks for dinner on the grill and I was preparing a salad inside, the guys decided they wanted to go to a casino. John knows I am not too keen on gambling, but I was open to some fun.

We went to the Hard Rock Casino, that is only a couple of miles down Beach Boulevard from the RV park (www.hrhcbiloxi.com).  We looked for a Wheel of Fortune slot machine. The guys played and lost a little bit (but had fun, nonetheless!) on one machine. They convinced me to play a little, so I slipped a $50 in the $1 machine and ended up winning. I was thrilled with $150 payout).  Needless to say, we are not big gamblers

Hard Rock facilities always have great musical industry memorabilia and this casino was no exception. We spent some time walking around and enjoying the scene. Below is an outfit Madonna wore onstage and a some Tom Petty items.

We decided to keep our $100 winnings and went home where we enjoyed some more cocktails. After breakfast the next morning, Mark headed out to New Orleans to catch his flight back to Philadelphia. A good time was had by all! We love it when family and friends visit us.
