Dinner at Cafe Diablo, 6/21/2018

Spending the day doing chores (laundry, cleaning, and packing up for travel tomorrow), we decided to treat ourselves to dinner at Cafe Diablo (www.cafediablo.com.) The restaurant is within walking distance of Sand Creek RV Park where we were staying.

Known for its “innovative southwest fusion” menu, our meals were delicious. Our service was outstanding, as our server was attentive and made for a fun time. We learned that she has lived in the area for generations and she and her husband are ranchers. They still herd up their open range cattle that roam to nearby Boulder Mountain on horseback annually. We also learned that the owner of the restaurant is from Philadelphia (near our home town in PA), and has a second home nearby.

We dined outside as did all of the other guests on the night we were there. Inside seating was nice, but it was a perfect night to enjoy the evening.

It was a lovely place to see the sunset as well.

Farewell, Torrey! We have really enjoyed our stay.
