7th Ranch RV Camp - August 4-11, 2014

Resort Review: 4.0 stars on a scale of 5

Location: Perfect location for visiting the Little Bighorn National Monument and Custer Battlefield Museum. The park is set well off the road with beautiful views in all directions. The park is surrounded by the property of a working ranch. There is a lovely trail up a hill to a flagpole that affords amazing views in all directions and is a great spot from which to view the sunset.

View from the top of the hill (near the flagpole).

Also, view of the RV camp from the top of the hill.

Lot Size:  We have a fabulous lot on the end of a row that gives as a huge "front yard" as well as the shade of a tree. This park is very well laid out with primarily pull through sites. We did not even have to unhook our tow dolly, which is a nice convenience.

Amenities:  Immaculate bathrooms and a laundry room (2 washers/dryers are available). The park is very well maintained with beautiful sunflowers all over the place.

There is no pool or hot tub (but we were not looking for that in this location). And no cable TV without your own satellite dish. A couple of channels can be picked up via air from some locations in the park. The absolute best thing about this park is that they are ultra dog-friendly. Dogs are permitted off-leash in the cow fields that surround the park. Sadie had a fabulous time catching her frisbee, hiking up to the flag pole every night, playing with other doggy guests, and generally investigating as much of the pastures as we would allow.

Cost: $215 (special promotional offer).

Management:  The folks that run this place are great. They are very helpful, informative about the area, and accommodating. We were led to our site and they are very happy to help out their guests in any way possible. Free ice cream on check in was great, and we were provided with good local information about visiting the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.

Comments: We love this place and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We met many friendly and interesting travelers here as well and hope to stay in touch.
