Utah Olympic Park - 8/28/14

This is an Official U.S. Olympic Training Site, junior and elite athletes come here to train and compete.

The Park hosted the following events during the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics:
  • Nordic Ski Jumping
  • Bobsled
  • Skeleton
  • Luge

We toured the Alf Engen Ski Museum and Eccles 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum. Ski wear of  Olympic competitors.
History of the area.

There are really nice displays and exhibits in this museum. Here is one of three cases of Alf Engen's trophies (champion skier, instructor, supporter of Utah skiing area).

The second floor of the museum is specifically about the 2002 Olympics.

There are many other activities here including:
  • Comet Bobsled ride with a professional driver down the 2002 Olympic track ($75/person)
  • Zip line or rope courses ($20)
  • Alpine Slide and entry-level zip line and rope courses ($15)
  • Guided tours ($10)
There is also a gift shop and cafe here. We loved the history of the 2002 Winter Olympics!
