Buffalo Crossing RV Park - August 12-26, 2014

Rating:  3.5 out of scale of 5

Location: Perfect location in West Yellowstone for access to Yellowstone National Park as well as restaurants, shops, visitor and information center (with park rangers) Historic Museum, Post Office, grocery store, liquor store, the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, theatre, hair/nail salon, IMAX theatre, etc. The West Entrance to Yellowstone is about a quarter mile from the park. Everything else is within walking distance.

Lot size: There are 15 pull-through sites and 10 back-in sites. We had a pull-through site at the end of one row (so no neighbor on one side of our lot). Management is upgrading all sites by adding a deck area where there is a picnic table and a patch of grass (they had just laid the sod down when we were there). The RV sits on gravel. We had an upgraded site for all but 2 days of our stay. They will also be paving the gravel areas in the near future.

Amenities:  Bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The laundry room was great as well with new equipment (5 washers, 4 dryers). No pool or hot tub here, but we spent most days at Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks as do most visitors to this area. Here's a photo of the lovely dog walk area that was very close to our site (#5).

Cost: $690.

Management: Great folks, very accommodating, really liked them. The park was full most nights we were there as August is a very busy time of year for the Yellowstone Park area. They also gave us comp tickets to the IMAX theatre, 25% discount coupon for YTP store, and comp drinks at Grizzly Claw Restaurant.

Comments: The location of this RV park was just perfect for us. Also, the management was great!
