New Friends in West Yellowstone - 8/15/14

Today was primarily a "chore" day (yes, we have those in retirerment, too). We got all of that stuff done (some cleaning, laundry, etc.) and enjoyed spending time with our new friends, Hannah (13 years old) and her grandparents, Gabe and Cookie. We met them at the RV park where we are both staying.

Hannah and Sadie became fast friends and had a great time going for several walks, throwing frisbee, and learning new tricks (or should I say, Hannah trying to teach Sadie some).

Sadie trying to get the treat from Hannah (before doing her trick...)

Best friends.

Hannah's family lives in NJ (so we felt a kindred right away since we are from southeastern PA) and her grandparents live in the southern part of Myrtle Beach, SC (another favorite spot from our youth). They are having a fabulous cross-country vacation seeing such sites as San Francisco, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and are heading to Black Hills country today to see Mount Rushmore and other sites in that area. Hannah and her grandmother both have blogs, so we plan to keep in touch.

Hannah is a lovely young lady that is an honor student, field hockey athlete, and has great plans for her future...a very sweet girl. We all had a great dinner at The Lodge @ Madison Crossing (highly recommend this restaurant).

The restaurant was within walking distance of our RV park in West Yellowstone which was perfect. We also did some browsing in some shops on the walk back home.

We may meet up in the Myrtle Beach area when we head back east in 2015. Farewell and safe travels!
