The Old Senator - 3/06/14

This beautiful live oak tree is one of the oldest trees in North America and reputed to be well over 600 years old. It was here 100 years before Ponce de Leon arrived in 1513!

Today it sits in the middle of a Howard Johnson's parking lot - if you can believe that!

Check out how small the Mini Cooper (lower right in photo) is compared to this magnificent tree. Well worth a quick stop to see this!
