Broke Mill RV Park - 2/11/15 to 2/18/15

Rating:  4 on a scale of 5

Location:  We selected this RV park as a halfway point between Big Bend National Park and Corpus Christi, TX, in Del Rio, TX. It was a great home base to check out the beautiful Amistad National Recreational Area.

Lot size:  The lots in this park are mostly (if not all) pull throughs which we love for the convenience. It was a nice size with plenty of room for our motor coach, tow dolly, car as well as our outdoor chairs.

Amenities:  There is cable TV, wifi (for one device), pool (not heated), very nice/clean laundry room with a recreation room behind it, a fitness center, and large event center.

There are several outdoor sitting areas as well.

The bathrooms are large and very clean. The owners sponsor a weekly dinner/music night on Thursdays that is held in the event center.

The cost is $12/person and we attended on the week we were there. The food was great (and served buffet style so you can go back for more!) The music was country/western with a four-piece group (including the owner on the fiddle). We enjoyed it very much. It's always nice to go "out," bring your own bottle, and then walk back to the RV!

Cost:  The weekly rate was $183, very reasonable for the quality of this park.

Management:  The couple that run this place are super nice and friendly. Our check-in was very efficient and we enjoyed seeing them at the dinner on Thursday night. We had mail sent here and a package from Amazon which was very convenient for us. They can provide information about the area and have brochures on hand in the office.

General Comments:  We really liked this park! It is located right on US 90 (the main road through Del Rio) and close to stores, etc. Check out their website for additional information.
